For the next year, John and Sarah dated each other and explored Chicago together. John lived in Roger's Park; Sarah lived in East Lakeview and then Lincoln Square, but they shared evenings with friends at Oasis, Farragut's, and Seven-Ten; ate at Thai Oscar, Rockwells, Heartland; and listened to music at Schuba's and of course Millenium Park. Each of these special places hosted John and Sarah as they grew in love.
John started law school the fall of 2009 at the University of Michigan. Long distance tested their relationship, but after another summer together in Chicago, John proposed marriage on September 1, 2010, and Sarah agreed. That fall, Sarah left The Field Museum to move to Iowa to be with family. Later, an offer to work at the Science Museum of Minnesota drew her to Saint Paul.
Fast-forward to Spring 2012, and Sarah and John are finally living in the same city once again and are so excited to start a married life together.
Sarah and John will wed at a small family-only ceremony on September 1, 2012 (two years to the day they got engaged, if you're following along), in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The reception (and this is where you all come in), will be held on November 10, 2012 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They're seriously, so excited about this celebration, and can't wait to share their vows, raise a glass, have a bite, and then tear up the dance floor with you all.
A note from Sarah and John:
We're so thankful to all our friends, family, colleagues, and classmates who have supported our relationship since day one. We are blessed to have such an amazing group of people around us and look forward to seeing you all again in November.
